Looking for some good moves to teach your Pokémon? We’ve gathered a list of some of the strongest moves you can bestow upon your favorite Pokémon, and all you need to do is craft or find the right TM. Here’s a list of some of the best TMs in all of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet!

Top 5 Bug TMs

  1. TM095 Leech Life: Deals 80 power physical damage and restores HP equal to half the damage inflicted.
  2. TM162 Bug Buzz: Deals 90 power special damage and has a 10% chance of lowering the target’s Sp. Def.
  3. TM060 U-turn: Deals 70 power physical damage and immediately switches the user out.
  4. TM131 Pollen Puff: Deals 90 power special damage to enemies, restores HP to ally Pokémon in double battles.
  5. TM105 X-Scissor: Deals 80 power physical damage, with added bonus damage if the Pokémon has the Sharpness ability.

Top 5 Dark TMs

  1. TM108 Crunch: Deals 80 power physical damage and has a 20% chance of lowering the target’s Sp. Def.
  2. TM094 Dark Pulse: Deals 80 power special damage and has a 20% chance of flinching the target.
  3. TM140 Nasty Plot: Raises the user’s Sp. Atk by two stages.
  4. TM018 Thief: Deals 60 power physical damage and steals the target’s held item.
  5. TM087 Taunt: Disable the target’s moves that cause status ailments.

  2. TM147 Wild Charge: Deals 90 power physical damage, causing the user to take recoil damage equal to 1/4 of the damage inflicted.
  3. TM136 Electric Terrain: Powers up Electric-type moves for five turns.
  4. TM048 Volt Switch: Deals 70 power speical damage, immediately switching the user out in the process.
  5. TM096 Eerie Impulse: Lowers the target’s Sp. Atk by two stages.

Top 5 Fairy TMs

  1. TM127 Play Rough: Deals 90 power physical damage with a 10% chance of lowering the target’s Atk by one stage.
  2. TM079 Dazzling Gleam: Deals 80 power special damage to all opponents.
  3. TM139 Misty Terrain: Protects all active Pokémon from status ailments, and halves the power of Dragon-type moves for five turns.
  4. TM037 Draining Kiss: Deals 50 power special damage and restores the user’s HP equal to 75% of the damage inflicted.
  5. TM002 Charm: Lowers the target’s Atk by two stages.

Top 5 Fighting TMs

  1. TM167 Close Combat: Deals 120 power physical damage and lowers the user’s Def and Sp. Def by one stage each.
  2. TM112 Aura Sphere: Deals 80 power special damage and never misses.
  3. TM158 Focus Blast: Focus energy for one turn, then unleash a blast that deals 120 power physical damage, with a 10% chance to lower the target’s Sp. Def by one stage.
  4. TM089 Body Press: Deals 80 power physical damage. This move scales off of the user’s Def stat instead of the Atk stat.
  5. TM073 Drain Punch: Deals 75 power physical damage and restores HP equal to 50% of the damage inflicted.

Top 5 Fire TMs

  1. TM165 Flare Blitz: Deals 120 power physical damage and has a 10% chance of burning the target. The user takes recoil damage equal to 1/3 of the damage inflicted.
  2. TM157 Overheat: Deals 130 power special damage and lowers the user’s Sp. Atk by two stages.
  3. TM153 Blast Burn: Deals 150 power special damage and forces the user to skip the next turn, unless it misses.
  4. TM107 Will-O-Wisp: Burns the target.
  5. TM049 Sunny Day: Causes harsh sunlight for five turns, powering up Fire-type moves and weakening Water-type moves.

Top 5 Flying TMs

  1. TM164 Brave Bird: Deals 120 power physical damage, causing the user to take recoil damage equal to 1/3 of the damage inflicted.
  2. TM160 Hurricane: Deals 110 power special damage, with a 30% chance of confusing the target. When it’s raining, this move never misses.
  3. TM113 Tailwind: Raises the Speed of the user by two stages.

  1. TM168 Solar Beam: The user absorbs sunlight for one turn, then blasts the target with a 120 power special attack. If used during harsh sunlight, Solar Beam comes out right away.
  2. TM158 Leaf Storm: Deals 130 power special damage, lowering the user’s Sp. Atk by two stages.
  3. TM137 Grassy Terrain: Powers up Grass-type moves and restores a small amount of HP to all Pokémon every turn for five turns.
  4. TM111 Giga Drain: Deals 75 power special damage, and restores the user’s HP equal to 50% of the damage inflicted.

  1. TM149 Earthquake: Deals 100 power physical damage to all Pokémon on the field.
  2. TM133 Earth Power: Deals 90 power special damage and has a 10% chance of lowering the target’s Sp. Def by one stage.
  3. TM090 Spikes: Set spike traps that hurt the opponent’s Pokémon when they’re switched in. Stacks up to three times, causing more damage.
  4. TM106 Drill Run: Deals 80 power physical damage with an increased chance of landing a critical hit.
  5. TM084 Stomping Tantrum: Deals 75 power physical damage. If the user’s previous move failed, the move’s power is increased to 150.

  1. TM143 Blizzard: Deals 110 power special damage to all targets with a 10% chance of freezing them. This move never misses if used during a snowstorm.
  2. TM135 Ice Beam: Deals 90 power special damage with a 10% chance to freeze.
  3. TM124 Ice Spinner: Deals 80 power physical damage and removes any active terrain effects.

  3. TM152 Giga Impact: Deals 150 power physical damage. The user must then rest for one turn afterwards.
  4. TM132 Baton Pass: Passes the user’s stat changes to another Pokémon.
  5. TM088 Swords Dance: Raises the user’s Atk by two stages.

  1. TM148 Sludge Bomb: Deals 90 power special damage with a 30% chance of poisoning.
  2. TM102 Gunk Shot: Deals 120 power physical damage with a 30% chance of poisoning.
  3. TM091 Toxic Spikes: Set poison spikes that poison the opponent’s Pokémon upon switching into battle. Stacks twice, causing target to be badly poisoned.
  4. TM045 Venoshock: Deals 65 power special damage. If used on a poisoned target, the power doubles to 130.
  5. TM013 Acid Spray: Deals 40 power special damage and lowers the target’s Sp. Def by two stages.

Top 5 Psychic TMs

  1. TM063 Psychic Fangs: Deals 85 power physical damage and breaks through Light Screen, Reflect, and Aurora Veil.
  2. TM120 Psychic: Deals 90 power special damage with a 30% chance to lower the target’s Sp. Def by one stage.
  3. TM138 Psychic Terrain: Creates a field of psychic energy for five turns, protecting Pokémon from moves with increased priority and increases the power of Psychic-type moves.
  4. TM161 Trick Room: Reverses move priority and Pokémon Speeds, causing slower Pokémon to go first.
  5. TM085 Rest: The user goes to sleep for two turns and restores its HP fully.

  1. TM150 Stone Edge: Deals 100 power physical damage and has an increased chance to land a critical hit.
  2. TM101 Power Gem: Deals 80 power special damage.

  4. TM051 Sandstorm: Summons a sandstorm for five turns, damaging all Pokémon that aren’t Steel, Rock, or Ground-type every turn. Rock-type Pokémon have their Sp. Def boosted.

  1. TM154 Hydro Cannon: Deals 150 power special damage. The user must recharge on the next turn.
