This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Monster Hunter Rise is going to be a massive game, featuring tons of different maps filled with all sorts of dangers. And monsters, of course: it could never be a Monster Hunter game without a healthy dose of giant beasts that cannot wait for you to make a mistake and eat you whole.

Among the maps that will be featured in the soon to be released new entry in the Capcom series are the Frost Islands. This new location is showcased in a new video shared by those good folks at IGN which also shows the Aknosom Switch Axe, and other weapon types like the Great Sword, Bow, Hunting Horn, and more. You can find the new footage right below.

Even though the game is releasing in around one month, players all over the world had the chance to try out the game’s online play last month thanks to the Monster Hunter Rise playable demo. The demo came with all 14 weapon types and four quests, offering a small, yet extremely good slice of the final experience.

The demo also allowed players to try out some of the new mechanics making their debut in Monster Hunter Rise such as Wyvern Riding and Wirebug traversal. With these mechanics, the game is setting out to be the most complex entry in the series to date.

Monster Hunter Rise launches on March 26 on Nintendo Switch worldwide.
