Genshin Impact 2.1 “Floating World under the Moonlight,” update Livestream concluded on a positive note. Unlike the filler updates that we got months back, the version 2.1 update is going to add a myriad of new content to the game that comes in different forms. There is no doubt that most in the Genshin Impact community have already exhausted the version 2.0 content and are eying for the next update.
For such players, we are going to share the official release date for Genshin Impact 2.1 update, along with some additional details.
Genshin Impact 2.1 Release Date
Genshin Impact 2.1 update will officially release on September 1, 2021, across platforms including Android, iOS, PC, PS4, and PS5. The new update features three new bosses, two new islands, three new playable characters – four if you include Aloy, the free five-star character, new Inazuma specialties, world quests, archon quests, and much more.
As always, Genshin Impact 2.1 update will release in the Asia region first, followed by other regions.
So, what about Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch release? How’s that progressing?. Well, to be honest, Genshin Impact’s release on the Nintendo Switch platform is not looking good. So far, apart from the initial release teaser, we have got no updates on Genshin Impact’s official release on the Nintendo platform.
That aside, Genshin Impact 2.1 will feature two-character new event wish banners. One for the electro archon Baal, and the other one for the leader of Sangonomiya resistance group, Kokomi. Baal’s banner “Kagero no Tenkajin,” will release on September 1, 2021, alongside the version 2.1 update. Moreover, Baal’s character event wish banner will also feature the upcoming four-star electro user, Kujou Sara.
As for Kokomi’s banner “Coral Palace Shinkai,”. It will release in the second half of the Genshin Impact 2.1 update.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play gacha-based role-playing game currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Android, and iOS.
