Genshin Impact: Will Yae Shintze/Yae Guuji be Playable?

At the end of the Genshin Impact 1.5 Livestream, we saw a new, at the same time, “not so new” face of a chibi character called Yae Guuji, who showcased official concept art for the six different locations of the upcoming region Inazuma. Yae Guuji looks a lot similar to miHoYo’s previous game, Honkai Impact’s playable character Yae Sakura. Will Yae Shintze/Yae Guuji be Playable in Genshin Impact?

According to the Electro Archon, Baal’s data-mined voice lines and other information. Yae Shintze is from the Yae family of Inazuma who also serves as the Chief Priestess of the Grand Narukami Shrine.

Moreover, Yae Shintze and the five-star Cryo Sword user Kamisato Ayaka is also well acquainted with each other. Last year, in the Genshin Impact New Years tweet, Yae welcomed Ayaka to her shrine as the first guest of the year.

Not only that Yae Shintze aka Yae Guuji is an old friend of the electro and geo archon. This shows how much Yae Guuji/Yae Shintze’s character is involved with Genshin Impact’s story. And, most of the times, Gacha games like Genshin Impact always make significant characters playable.

Yae Guuji will play a vital role in the Inazuma update. And being a significant character, we can say that Yae Shintze/Yae Guuji will be a playable character in Genshin Impact.
