If you are like most of us, then you would definitely want to get past those early levels as soon as possible, with the minimum of effort, and the maximum of collectibles. Well, doesn’t that just sound lovely? In order to do it, it’s not hard; we will guide you through everything that we consider best that you do in order to level up faster, and thus you won’t have a problem capturing pets or mounts!

First thing I suggest that you do, as soon as you start your journey through the game, is to make a couple of items: a pickaxe (Wood Pick, costs 15 Wood), an axe (Wood Axe, costs 5 Wood) and a club (Wood Club, costs 20 Wood). Those 3 items will help you deal with everything that you need in order to reach level 5 quickly.

To get to level 5 quickly, I suggest that you start attacking everything that you see: golems (Treant), chickens, etc. Those will grant you enough EXP to level up to level 5 really quick, and thus will allow you to craft the Saddle and get your very first mount.

As soon as you got to level 5, head on to the Beacon and use one of the 3 free daily teleports. At the Beacon, teleport to the Fragrant Plains and start killing the Imps and Archer Imps, as well as any Turtles that you see. They will give you lots of EXP and in a matter of minutes you will level up (faster than you could think possible).

Start exploring the Fragrant Plains a little and sooner or later you will find some higher level critters. The cows for example will give you lots of exp, as well as some Hide, Milk and meat. I suggest killing as many as you can, stocking up on the goods and continuing your journey.

Really, there is no wrong way to level up here since you can pretty much just attack anything that you encounter and it will grant a little (or more) EXP. There are two other ways that you can gather EXP in Utopia: Origin. These two other ways are crafting and collecting.

Every time you craft something, you will be granted some EXP. It’s not as much as killing a monster of your level or higher, obviously, but it still is something. If you start chopping down trees and breaking rocks, then you will also get EXP. Whenever you collect anything, there will be some EXP given to you, but it’s even less than what you get for crafting, so it is really not worth thinking about crafting as a way to level up fast here.

The best ways to level up, in my opinion, is to just keep on killing the animals that you encounter, and collect the random items that you find along the way, as well as crafting new ones from time to time. This is quick, and will ensure that you get to level 20 without much hassle.

As soon as you reach level 20, you can start doing much more important stuff, such as settling down into a cozy crib, and making it look really nice (yeah, decorate everything!). Building a house is important because you can start adding there workbenches and much more important items that will let you craft more advanced items.

After building a house, you can adventure into the higher level areas and keep on killing and probably start gathering the feed necessary to capture the mount or pet you want. If you want to check the available mounts, you can take a look at our Mount guide. Start killing the necessary animals that drop their respective feed, and then focus on the companion.

Our companion guide will tell you everything you need to know about what companions you can get to help you on your adventures, and also the feed necessary to tame them. This should be your next milestone in the game. Along the way to those companions and mounts, don’t forget to kill some monsters for some extra levels.

If you would like to know all the cooking recipes in the game, then you should take a look at our cooking guide to figure out what you can do with everything that you’ve gathered so far. Also, in order to help you with the cooking, we’ve put together a fishing guide to help you build a boat and travel between those islands without the need of a Beacon.

These would be everything that we have for you about Utopia: Origin & how to level up faster.
