The next Tetris 99 Maximus Cup will be held from September 20th until September 24th. All those who manage to get at least 100 points by winning games will receive a Super Kirby Clash in-game theme as well as 99 Gem Apples for the game that has been recently on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
Tetris 99 has been expanded considerably since its release with new game modes that can also be played offline. More content is on its way with a second DLC pack which will include an eight-player mode and a new one called Shared Battle, which will allow players to cooperate in a single game by passing the Joy-Con controllers.
Even without the additional play modes, Tetris 99 is an extremely engaging experience with way more depth than what it may seem like at first glance. During a game, players can send garbage blocks to other players and choose on the fly if they want to send them to players close to K.O., to those who are targeting the player and more. This opens up some very interesting possibilities that make Tetris 99 even more engaging than regular Tetris.
