Most of the new content included in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will be found in the Bowser’s Fury expansion, but this doesn’t mean that Nintendo will not expand the features originally seen in the Wii U game.
The Japanese publisher recently shared some new gameplay footage that showcases the co-op features that will be available in the Captain Toad stages, special stages that require players to solve puzzles. In Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Captain Toad stages will feature four-players co-op.
The biggest addition included in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will be the Bowser’s Fury expansion. In this expansion, Mario will team up with Bowser Jr. to defeat the king of the Koopas, who has gone too far in his search for power. The free-roam gameplay will make the expansion feel more like an open-world game than a Super Mario game.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury launches on February 12 on Nintendo Switch.
