Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury New Overview Trailer Confirms Free-Roam Gameplay And More

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is a competent port of three classic Super Mario games, but it really does the bare minimum, adding only marginal improvements and no new content. This led many to think that things wouldn’t be much different with Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, but Nintendo is surprising Mario fans all over the world with what seems like will be one of the best ports ever developed by the Japanese company.

A new Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury overview trailer that has been released online provides new information not only on the base game but also on the Bowser’s Fury expansion.

In the expansion, players will be able to explore the big map freely, solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and fight Bowser in full Fury. Judging from the trailer, Bowser’s Fury is almost intended as a Super Mario take on the open-world experience of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

While the main game hasn’t been touched up all that much, with only a few improvements here and there, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is setting out to be the game to get for all Mario fans out there. The game’s level design is among the best ever seen in a Mario 3D game, so if you’re among the many that skipped the Wii U generation, you would do yourself a favor by getting the game when it launches in less than a month, on February 12.
