Overwatch Nintendo Switch Doesn’t Look Too Bad Compared To PlayStation 4 Version

After a relatively short wait since its announcement, Overwatch is finally available on Nintendo Switch, bringing its competitive multiplayer experience almost untouched. Some cuts had to be made to make the game run on the console, but how much this is impacting the experience?

A new Overwatch comparison video has been shared online today, comparing the recently released Nintendo Switch version with the PlayStation 4 release. Aside from the obvious decrease in resolution and frame rate, the Switch release doesn’t all that bad.

So far, those getting Overwatch on Nintendo Switch will only be able to play with those playing the same version, but Blizzard is looking into implementing cross-platform play. Principal Producer Wes Yanagi confirmed recently that the team is looking into the matter, but it wasn’t the focus during development.

Our focus really has been just trying to get Overwatch on the Nintendo Switch so we can have all new ways to play and welcome the Nintendo community into the Overwatch community.

Overwatch is now available on Nintendo Switch worldwide.
