Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will feature a big character roster that will include almost all fan-favorite Breath of the Wild characters, including the iconic Divine Beasts.

These Divine Beasts are set to spice up the hack and slash experience of the game developed by Koei Tecmo quite a bit, judging from some brand new gameplay footage shared online by Famitsu. The new gameplay sequences are set beyond the demo that is available for download right now from the Switch eShop, so beware of spoilers!

The aforementioned Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity demo allowed us to get a look at how the game will look and run on the Nintendo Switch. According to a recent video analysis, the game runs between 20 and 30 FPS and employs dynamic resolution both in docked and handheld mode. This is not surprising, considering this is a Warriors series spin-off, and these games don’t run particularly well on the Nintendo Switch due to amount of enemies on-screen at all times.

Even with some issues, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity promises to be a very fun experience that will build upon the foundation laid by Breath of the Wild in some very interesting ways. To see if the game will deliver on all its promises, we will have to wait until November 20, so you’d better get prepared for another adventure in the magical land of Hyrule.
