Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl National Dex 01

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl feature tons of optional content, including some that give players some amazing rewards that can make quite a difference.

Among the optional content that provides players and their Pokemon some real benefits is discovering and opening the secret room in the Team Rocket HQ, which is actually a callback to a special event originally featured in Pokemon Platinum. Here’s how to open this door.

How to Get Into the Secret Room in the Team Rocket HQ in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

While you will get to explore the Team Rocket HQ as you try to make a name for yourself in Sinnoh as one of the best Pokemon Trainers in the region, you will only be able to get into the secret room once you have completed the main campaign and become the Sinnoh League Champion.

To open the secret room, you will need to get the secret key, which can only be obtained by catching Rotom. Before you can do this, however, you will need to unlock the National Dex by registering all the Sinnoh Pokemon and beating the game.

After the National Dex has been unlocked, you can head over to Eterna Forest and enter the Old Chateau. On the Chateau’s second floor, you need to interact with the TV at night to fight Rotom. It’s at Level 15, so it will be very easy to catch. Once you do, you will get the secret key, which can be used to open the secret room in the Team Rocket HQ.

To open the secret door in the Team Rocket HQ, all you need to do is get to the bottom floor of the building and interact with the area to the left. Inside the secret room, you will find different appliances that will be added to the Rotom Catalogue once you interact with them that can be used to change Rotom into one of five different forms: Heat Rotom, Frost Rotom, Mow Rotom, Wash Rotom, and Fan Rotom. All forms have different types, making Rotom one of the most versatile Pokemon available in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
