Below, we will list all of the Pokemon that can possess the Flame Body ability — either as a normal ability or a hidden ability — in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Magby / Magmar / Magmortar

All the three stages in the Magmortar line can possess the Flame Body ability. Magby can be found in the grand Underground, but is exclusive to Pokemon Shining Pearl. You can take a look at our guide which details where and how to exactly catch Magby in Pokemon Shining Pearl.

Magmar and Magmortar are obtained by evolving Magby.

Ponyta / Rapidash

Only Ponyta can be found in the wild, in the grass on Routes 206, 210, 211 at night, 214, and 215 during the day. To obtain a Rapidash, you need to evolve your Ponyta into one.

Moltres

Moltres is another Pokemon that is version-exclusive, locked to only Pokemon Shining Pearl players.

You need to use the Kanto Slate in the appropriate cave in Ramanas Park to encounter and capture Moltres, in the post-game of Pokemon Shining Pearl.

Heatran

Heatran can be found in Stark Mountain in either version of the remakes. Getting to Heatran, however, is a long process, so we recommend you check out this guide that outlines the process for getting to Heatran.
