Possessing the Fire/Steel typing, Heatran is one of the Legendary Pokemon that was released in the original Generation 4 games, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.
Seeing that ILCA and The Pokemon Company keep repeating the fact Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are “faithful remakes” of the original games, you would think that Heatran would be available to encounter and catch in the remakes.
Well, the good news is that Heatran is available in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. So you can get that bit of tension out of the way at least.
How to Get Heatran in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Encountering and catching Heatran definitely will take more time than other Legendaries, but it is easily doable. However, before you can set on the quest to capture Heatran, there are some primary requirements you need to fulfill.
Like many other Legendaries, you need to beat the Elite Four and Champion of the game. Then, you need to make sure you’ve seen all 149 Sinnoh regional Pokemon so that you can get the National Pokedex from Professor Oak in Sandgem Town.
If you have completed those requirements, follow the steps below to find and encounter Heatran:
- Head to Route 227.
- Enter Stark Mountain found in Route 227.
- Talk to the NPC Buck inside to accept his quest.
- After completing Buck’s quest, head back to the Survival Area.
- Visit the house next to the Pokemon Center.
- Speak to the old man inside.
- Head back to Stark Mountain.
- Revisit the location where you got the Magma Stone.
Once you reach here, you will see Heatran waiting, ready to battle you.
