To dispatch characters on Expedition in Genshin Impact, players have visit the Adventurer’s Guild Receptionist. Every region has their own Adventurer’s Guild and their receptionist. However, any of them can be used to access all expeditions.

Visit Liyue or Mondstadt’s Adventurer’s Guild and talk to Katheryne.

Select the dialogue option that says “Dispatch Character on Expedition“.

By doing that, you are taken to the expedition map where you can select which type of expedition you want to complete, which character you want to send on expedition and how much time and equivalent reward you get for completing that expedition.

To get more rewards from Genshin Impact’s expedition system. Click on any of the expeditions. On the right side of the game screen, you will get a new vertical window that shares details on the expedition. At the bottom, you can find expedition time given as 4h, 8h, 12h, 20h. The higher expedition time you select, the more reward you will get.

To complete expeditions in Genshin Impact, you have to wait till the selected expedition time is exhausted. Expedition time is real in nature, which means, if you selected a four-hour-long expedition, then you have to wait for four hours in real life for the expedition to complete.

Once the expedition is complete go back to Adventurer’s Guild and claim your reward from the expedition menu.
