Version 1.2 update for Genshin Impact brought a lot of new content for the player. It includes a brand new territory to explore, Dragonspire. There are many things to do on this mountain, but to get access to the whole Dragonspire you will need to complete a long quest. In the Mountain may be demanding for a player and this guide will explain how to complete it.
How to Start In the Mountains Quest
To start the quest, you will need to go outside Dragonspire right to the Adventurer’s Camp. There will be a character named Iris. She will ask you to investigate the Strange Ice, and the quest In the Mountains will begin.

In the beginning, Iris asks you to investigate the Strange Ice. The player just needs to follow the quest marker to find it. But when you reach your target, you may see that ice is unbreakable and immune to your attacks. Even fire deals no damage. To break the Strange Ice you need to find the Scarlet Quartz in the area around the ice. After the player got the buff from this quartz, it will be able to break the Strange Ice. When the ice is broken the Frostbearing Tree will appear.

The next thing you need to do is to chase some strange object that flew away. However, soon this adventure will be interrupted by the wind. After that player will need to return to Iris, and she will inform you that there are two more chunks of Ice.
The first one is in Starglow Cavern. Prepare to fight well, as your character sometimes will be frozen. Pyro characters like Amber are a good choice. When you reach the chunk of ice, you will see that it is guarded by a barrier. You will need to bring three Pyro Seelies to their pedestals before starting the fight. Search for them in Starglow Cavern, and collect Scarlet Quartz. After the barrier is broken attack the chunk of ice and go to the location of another one.

The second chunk of ice is located in Wyrmrest Valley. To get to it you will need to bring a Cryo character. There are five Ice statues and you need to activate them in the order shown by Pyro Seelie. After you activated all of them, you will be able to drop down into the cavern. The next thing is just to break the chunk of Strange Ice.
In the end, you will be able to reach the top of the mountain. There you will need to clear more chunks. Fortunately, it is a much easier task. Just do some acrobatics. After that just return to Iris and get the reward. It will be 3 Hero’s Wit, 60 Primogems, 3 Mystic Enhancement Ore, 30,000 More, and full access to Dragonspire.
