The Fire Emblem series is incredibly popular right now in North America and Europe, but it was not always so. The series’ beginnings were so humble that the first entries in the series never made it to the West. The time has almost come, however, for all true fans of the series to experience the series’ very first entry.

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light launches tomorrow, December 4, on the Nintendo Switch eShop worldwide, and several outlets have shared their reviews of the game. While Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light did not exactly age well, this is a release than any true fan of the series shouldn’t pass on.

While Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light has been announced as a digital release, a special edition, called 30th Anniversary Edition, will be available in North America. It will launch with a $49.99 price tag and it will include tons of great extras, including a NES instruction manual and a Game Pak replica. The perfect purchase for any real nostalgic!
