Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons update went live a few days ago, but we had no idea what exactly this update introduced and changed, outside of the introduction of special items meant to celebrate the Super Mario 35th Anniversary. Today, Nintendo finally shared all of the details on this update.

Alongside support for the new Super Mario-themed items, the 1.8.0 update introduced a couple of fixes. You can find all the details below:

  • Fixed an issue from Ver. 1.7.0 where if a User selected their own User icon from the HOME Menu followed by “Search for Users You Played With” in the “Add Friend” Menu after an online or local wireless multiplayer session, the Nintendo Switch User Nickname of the other player would be displayed under “In-Game Name” when that player was selected from “Users You Have Played With”.
  • Other adjustments and corrections were made to improve the game play experience.

In case you want to read the full update notes, you can head over to the official Nintendo website.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now out on Nintendo Switch worldwide.
