This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Wolfenstein Youngblood is set to release on Nintendo Switch at the same time the game releases on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it seems like the retail release will not be the same as the one for the other consoles, as it may not actually include a physical copy of the game.

GameStop has revealed on its official website that the Wolfenstein Youngblood Deluxe Edition for Nintendo Switch will include no cartridge, as only a download code will be included, and it will be the same for the Standard Edition.

While the fact that Wolfenstein Youngblood will not be available at retail in Europe and Australia was announced, this wasn’t the case for North America, so the lack of an official word on the matter is definitely strange. As Bethesda has yet to confirm this, we have to take it with a grain of salt.

The Wolfenstein Youngblood Deluxe Edition includes the game’s Buddy Pass, which allows players to invite another player who hasn’t purchased the game to play the entire game for free. As the game is built around co-op, this is a very nice addition that will make the game even more enjoyable.

Wolfenstein Youngblood launches on Nintendo Switch as well as PC, PS4 and Xbox One on July 26th.
