Will there Be Games Made Specifically for Steam Deck

Steam Deck is the new and improved handheld gaming console that’s set to take over Nintendo Switch domination as the number one handheld gaming console. Many users have often asked if Steam Deck will be getting any exclusive titles like Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

However, Valve has confirmed in an announcement through a FAQ section of their website that covers questions from game developers and publishers, that Steam Deck will not have any exclusive games.

In their response, Valve respond by saying that “it doesn’t make much sense” to make exclusive titles for Steam Deck because “it’s a PC and it should just play games like a PC.” Valve’s FAQ section surprisingly responded to a ton of questions in regards to the Steam Deck as well.

Steam Deck will launch with a modified operating system that makes it user and console-friendly for players to browse through the Steam Store and game libraries. Users might also be able to run non-Steam titles, which as many gamers are aware of, keeps the console more like a computer than pretty much anything else.

The Steam Deck has amassed a massive fan base even before its launch with the announcement of three versions with each containing its own specifications in storage size that matches the buyer’s needs.
