For new players who are just starting out with Elden Ring, the Limgrave Tunnels is a fine location to get some Smiting Stones. You’ll have to battle an optional boss but you don’t necessarily have to kill them in order to get the Smiting Stones.

Simply keep an eye out for gold areas that appear on the wall and interact with them. This will provide you with various Smiting Stones and battling the boss won’t prove to be much of a challenge anymore. So as you progress, you’ll be able to purchase Smiting Stones 1 and 2 from the game’s Roundtable Hold and you can accomplish this by:

Going to the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel.

Locating The Crystalian.Killing The Crystalian.

After being downed they’ll drop the Smithing Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing.

Return to Roundtable Hold and give the Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks.

You’re now able to buy Smithing Stones 1 and 2 for the rest of the game.

And lastly, you can get more powerful Smiting Stones from looting hidden corpses and taking out enemies as you progress and venture deeper into the game’s vast world.
