Fortnite has many different ways of getting extra ammo, and important items such as off-road tires, Cow Catchers, and Repair Torches. Small ammo boxes drop 4 stacks of random ammo, while large ammo boxes drop 8 stacks of ammo and a healing item. Red toolboxes drops 4 stacks of ammo along with vehicle mods or a Repair Torch. Where to Find Red Toolboxes in Fortnite
At the start of the season, these toolboxes were pretty rare and generally only found in garages or Gas Stations. Red toolboxes were first introduced in Chapter 2 Season 7, then vaulted temporarily before coming back for this current chapter, with the addition of extra vehicle mods. The toolboxes now contain a few stacks of ammo and one of three items: off-road tires (called Chonkers), a Cow Catcher vehicle mod, or a Repair Torch.
Since the last patch (v20.40), Red Toolboxes can be found in many more places. Luckily this coincides with an upcoming season quest to find and open two toolboxes, rewarding the player with 20K XP for doing so.

If you need to find a vehicle mod or Repair Torch, the best place to visit is a Gas Station or a garage attached to a house. Another great place to find them is at Chonkers Speedway, where all good racers can jump in a fully-modded sports car! Red Toolboxes are also scattered all around the newest POI, ‘The Collider’:
The Fortress is another POI that usually has a few of these toolboxes, but be aware of the IO forces wandering around!
