Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 has begun and brings with it a whole host of new features, new locations, and 2 brand new weapons. Some weapons from the previous season have been vaulted but this season has introduced a couple of unique weapons to replace them. Find out below where to find the EvoChrome weapons in Fortnite.
New EvoChrome Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4
The new EvoChrome weapons are the EvoChrome Shotgun and the EvoChrome Burst Rifle. They are unique to Chapter 3 Season 4, and have arrived with the introduction of the chrome locations.
The new chromified locations in this new season are:
- Cloudy Condos
- Shimmering Shrine
- Herald’s Sanctum
- Lustrous Lagoon
Here you will find chrome chests- shining chests that are available in these special areas. These chrome chests can also be created by throwing a Chrome Splash at an ordinary chest them before opening.
You will be able to find either an EvoChrome Shotgun or an EvoChrome Burst Rifle in a chrome chest. These only come out of chests in the uncommon rarity (green) and can be upgraded by the player. They are also found as floor loot around the island.

To upgrade an EvoChrome weapon you must deal damage to an opponent (including Wolves) until the upgrade meter fills. This meter is found beneath where you see how much ammo you have.
When the meter is full you receive a prompt to press a button and ‘evolve’ the EvoChrome weapon you are holding. They can be upgraded all the way to Legendary (gold), and each evolution takes more opponent damage to fill the meter.
