As you set out on your fishing journey in Dredge, you will discover that the ocean is not just a peaceful and serene place but a place filled with danger and the unknown. You will face unpredictable weather, vicious sea creatures, and other mysterious dangers lurking in the depths. While progressing through the story, you will come across tales of horrifying creatures lurking in the depths of the archipelago. Some sea monsters may seem like myths, but as you delve deeper into the game, you will find that they are all too real. This guide will discuss various sea monsters in Dredge and how to find them.
Dredge Sea Monsters Guide
#1 – Ghost Ship
Nighttime in Dredge can be a terrifying experience as you navigate through the dark and murky waters, unsure of what may be lurking in the depths below. You may even spot another ship on the horizon, just like yours, but you know there are no other anglers in the Marrows. This is, in fact, a giant ship-eating angler that spawns after 20:30. If you get too close to the ship, it will start chasing you until 3:30 in the morning.
#2 – Serpent
The Serpent is a gigantic single-eyed monster in Dredge. This horror is located in the waters between the cliffs in Gale Cliffs. While exploring this area, you must be careful, or you will find the Serpent chasing your ship. The only way to escape from Serpent is to outrun it, which is only possible with a powerful engine.
#3 – Phantom Shark
Phantom Shark appears when the player has very high panic in Gale Cliffs and Stellar Basin. Once a Phantom Shark is on the trail, it will quickly catch up to you no matter how fast your engine is. The only way to escape a Phantom Shark is by using Banish’s ability.
#4 – Stellar Basin Creature
While exploring Stellar Basin, you may have spotted huge tentacles lashing out of water. A massive creature is hiding beneath the Stellar Basin, and considering its tentacle’s size, it is the biggest monster in Dredge. If you go over the center of Stellar Basin, your ship will be attacked by tentacles.
#5 – Leviathan
Unlike other monsters, Leviathan can attack you anytime while fishing in open waters. The best way to find Leviathan is by trying to escape the map. The Leviathan will pop out of the water and eat your ship if you try this multiple times.
#6 – Jelly Bomb
Jelly Bomb are explosive enemies found during the night in Stellar Basin. As its name implies, Jelly Bombs explode when they contact a ship. As you navigate through the dark waters of the Stellar Basin, you must be cautious and maneuver around any Jelly Bombs in your path to avoid damaging your ship.
#7 – Unseeing Mother
Unseeing Mother is the mother of piranhas found around Devil’s Spine. When piranhas start attacking you, the Unseeing Mother will hear its children’s call and come to help them. Avoid piranhas if you don’t want to be killed by Unseeing Mother.
#8 – Mind Sucker
Mind Sucker has the ability to inflict panic on your character. You can find these luminescent creatures in Twisted Strad during the night. While completing The Bitter End pursuit, you will build a trap to kill these monsters.
Dredge is not just a simple fishing game but an adventure filled with danger and horror creeping in the ocean’s depths. Finding sea monsters adds a new layer of excitement to the gameplay.
