Where to Catch the Stripeshell Snail in Palia

Learn where to catch the Stripeshell Snail in Palia and get that silk the easy way!

For a gamer like me, obsessed with all kinds of collectibles, completing the bundles for the Vault of the Waves quest in Palia has been one of the most exciting but also the most demanding part of the game so far. Beach Bundle was particularly complicated—mostly due to that infamous Green Pearl—but other items on the list were not so easy to find either.

Where to Catch the Stripeshell Snail in Palia

You can catch the Stripeshell Snail in several Bahari Bay locations in Palia, including Lighthouse Lagoon, Coral Shores, Beachcomber Cove, and the Flooded Fortress. These little animals crawl along the coast or underwater strictly between 6 pm and 3 am, so don’t go looking for them while the sun is out.

How to Catch the Stripeshell Snail in Palia

Additionally, knowing where to find the Stripeshell Snails doesn’t mean you will catch them that easily. First, ensure that the snail you’re trying to catch is truly the Stripeshell Snail and not the more common Garden Snail. You will recognize the Stripeshell Snail thanks to the distinct pink and purple stripes on the shell, but it can be challenging to see those well in the dark.

Also, they may be slow, but if they notice danger, they will relentlessly try to move away. Make sure to prepare a lot of Smoke Bombs to incapacitate them temporarily so that you can approach and loot them with success.

You can also improve your chances of catching Stripeshell Snails depending on the type of bug-catching belt you possess:

  • Makeshift Belt—20% for regular, 10% for star-quality snails
  • Standard Belt—30% for regular, 15% for star-quality snails
  • Fine Belt—40% for regular, 20% for star-quality snails
  • Exquisite Belt—50% for regular, 25% for star-quality snails

It makes sense to catch more than one Stripeshell Snail that is required for completing the Beach Bundle. These little creatures also give you 0 to 7 Silk Thread used for making Silk and, in turn, improving the quality of your furniture. You can also sell them for 120 Gold for regular specimens or 180 Gold for star-quality snails.

That’s all there is to know about catching Stripeshell Snails in Palia! Good luck hunting, and if you require more help with this cozy life simulator, check out more of our guides in the dedicated Palia section here on TouchTapPlay.
