Rocket League Sideswipe arrived on mobile devices in November 2021, and quickly became the go-to pick-up-and-play game for competitive and casual players. Once you master the boosts and spins, you may decide to join the competitive matches, playing against others from all over the world. Climbing up the Competitive Ranks means the potential of becoming a Worldwide Ranked Player, unlocking great rewards at the end of the ranked season.
What is Supersonic Legend?
In the original Rocket League game, the highest rank achievable was previously the Grand Champion Rank. This was the ultimate goal for competitive players. After Rocket League became free-to-play in 2020, the Supersonic Legend rank was added. It became the new rank to aim for for the truly competitive players. To gain the Supersonic Legend title in ranked games, players had to reach the following tiers in MMR:
- 1v1 1356
- 2v2 1876
- 3v3 1916
Presently, Rocket League Sideswipe’s highest rank in competitive matches is the Grand Champion rank. This rank can be achieved in 1v1, 2v2, and Hoops games. To find who is currently sitting on top of the ranked player Grand Champion leaderboards, just tap the settings ‘cog’ icon in the top right of your screen, and then tap ‘Leaderboards.’
They have not yet introduced Supersonic Legend ranks to Rocket League Sideswipe, but there are rumors it may yet appear! So keep your eye out for news on this development. Remember it took a while for SSL to take over from the Grand Champion as the Rocket League’s highest ranking, so it may not be introduced in the mobile game just yet.
