The Wonderful 101 is finally coming to Nintendo Switch as well as PC and PlayStation 4 in the next couple of months, and it seems like the remaster may not be the last time we see Wonder Red and his companions in action, according to game director Hideki Kamiya.
Speaking with Nintendo Everything, the legendary game director confirmed that a sequel could be made, as he has ideas that came up during the original game’s development that ended up being not used. Another The Wonderful 101 game, however, may only happen if fans support the remaster.
I had ideas like, ‘Oh, what would it be like if we did a sequel where Wonder Blue was the leader?’ All of these creative and exciting ideas were flowing, and then the game released and I saw the numbers and was like, ‘Wait, what?!’ So, I hope I get to have those aspirations again in the future.

The Wonderful 101 is among the best games developed by Platinum Games, featuring an explosive combination of different genres, from action games to shooters and more. Given how this unique blend works great, it would be very interesting to see how Hideki Kamiya and Platinum Games may approach the sequel with new ideas.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered is scheduled for an April release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC.
