Tetris 99 5th Maximus Cup Announced For This Month

In the past months, several Tetris 99 Maximus Cup have been held in all regions, offering special prizes to those who manage to win as many games as they can. The Maximus Cup is coming back later this month, but with an interesting twist.

It’s been confirmed a few hours ago that the fifth Tetris 99 Maximus Cup will be held from July 12th until July 15th. All players who manage to earn 100 points during the duration of the event will be able to unlock a special prize, a Splatoon in-game theme.

Tetris 99 received its first DLC back in May. Called the Big Block DLC, it allows access to two different play modes – CPU Battle, which pits players against 98 other CPU controlled opponents, and Marathon, which is more like a classic Tetris mode where players must clear as many lines as possible.

Tetris 99 is now available for free exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
