During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, the Japanese company confirmed that Super Mario Maker 2 will feature a story mode where players will have to rebuild Peach’s castle by using coins. These coins are obtained by completing the over 100 stages included in the game. Some of these stages will also feature some advanced designs that may inspire players for their own creations.

Super Mario Maker 2 will also feature some multiplayer modes. Through these modes, players will be able to build stages together locally, as well as compete and collaborate with others. Needless to say, the inclusion of multiplayer vastly expands the Super Mario Maker 2 experience.

Many other things have also been revealed during the Nintendo Direct, which can be checked out in full below.

Super Mario Maker 2 launches on June 28th in all regions exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
