Genshin Impact‘s Summer Vacation: Proceed with Caution is the second story quest in the Midsummer Islands Adventure event that players have to complete to surface new isles and extra areas of existing isles in limited time area “Golden Apple Archipelago”. Summer Vacation: Proceed with Caution Quest Walkthrough Guide
At the beginning of Summer Vacation: Proceed with caution quest, players have to return to their camp on Pudding Isle, Golden Apple Archipelago.
1. Return to Camp
After you return to your camp, you are asked to wait until next morning. Open Paimon’s menu and set the clock in-between 08:00 to 10:00.
Once you have successfully set the correct time, you will get a cutscene where Jean and Barbara’s summer costumes are showcased to you. In actual, there are also story related stuff mentioned in the cutscene. But, we will not mention it, as we don’t want to spoil it.
2. Confirm your Combat Readiness(0/3)
To check the combat Readiness, players have to talk to Klee, Jean and Barbara. You will find them near the camp, talk to all three of them to progress the quest.
Once you have confirmed the combat readiness of all three aforementioned characters. report back to Jean.
3. Investigate the Mysterious Device (0/3)
Use the boat and destroy the three marked mysterious devices to progress Summer Vacation: Proceed with Caution quest.
Once you have destroyed all three mysterious devices, new portions of existing isles and completely new isles will surface.
4. Go to the Central Platform
A new central platform located between Broken Isle and Twinning isle will surface. The central platform that the quest talks about is nothing but the new arena for the Maguu Kenki boss.

Use the Waverider boat to travel to the central platform. Once you reach there a new cutscene will trigger. In this cutscene, Jean will make an observation that Maguu Kenki is from Inazuma.
5. Examine your Environment
Go to the search area and look for the stone grave.
That’s all, after a final cutscene introducing you to Harpastum, Genshin Impact’s Summer Vacation: Proceed with Caution quest ends.
Now you will have access to second part of Midsummer Islands Adventure limited time event, “Whirpool off to Starboard…Full Speed Ahead!”.
