According to what can be read on the Nintendo official website, SNES and NES games will no longer release with a regular schedule. More games will be coming, but it seems like they will no longer release monthly.

This is definitely a shame, considering the expansion of the service was welcome news for all subscribers. There are a lot of excellent SNES games, and seeing games released monthly would have been great.

Still, there isn’t much to complain as of now regarding the SNES – Nintendo Switch Online offerings. The 20 launch titles are among the best ever released for the console. They include classics like Super Mario World, Super Mario World 2, Super Mario Kart, Super Metroid and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Some third party games also made it into the launch list, like Super Ghouls n’ Goblins and Breath of Fire. The latter is the first JRPG developed by Capcom, and it’s an excellent game featuring a charming world and interesting gameplay mechanics.

SNES – Nintendo Switch Online is now available for download for all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
