Shovel Knight has had a great run on Nintendo Switch and other consoles. The original game has been updated multiple times with additional content, and new campaign starring some of the game’s iconic bosses have been released in the past few years. The final chapter is now very close to release as well.

During a recent livestream from developer Yacht Club Games, it’s been confirmed that Shovel Knight King Of Cards is complete and it is releasing soon on all formats, including Nintendo Switch.

The developer also confirmed that Shovel Knight King Of Cards is going to be their biggest game yet, with more levels, mechanics, secrets and content.

As for the release date, no precise one has been announced, but it’s likely that it will be released this December. Shovel Knight King Of Cards will be available for free to those who have purchased Shovel Knight, but it will also be available for purchase as a standalone title.

If you never played Shovel Knight, you are really missing out, as it is one of the best indie games ever released. With its retro-inspired presentation, excellent gameplay and huge amount of content, Shovel Knight is a game that even those who are not fond of platform games will surely enjoy. And the game oozes personality, so it’s very difficult to forget its characters and soundtrack.
