The original SaGa Frontier is far from being the most successful JRPG released by Square Enix, Squaresoft back then, on the original PlayStation, and it is a shame. The game is among the most unique role-playing games ever released on the console, and it definitely deserves a second chance at success. A chance that will be coming soon.
SaGa Frontier Remastered, originally announced last year, is going to make its debut on the App Store, Google Play Store and Nintendo Switch on April 15. The remaster will feature improved visuals and even new content via a new playable character, Fuse.
In case you have never heard of SaGa Frontier Remastered before, you can take a look at the announcement trailer below.
SaGa Frontier Remastered is not going to mark the series’ debut on the App Store and Google Play Store. Over the past years, Square Enix release Romanian SaGa 2, Romancing SaGa 3 and SaGa: Scarlet Grace: Ambitions. While the three games are rather different from SaGa Frontier, and from one another as well, some of the basic mechanics, like the unique leveling system, are pretty much the same, so you can take a look at any of these games if you want to get prepared for SaGa Frontier Remastered.
SaGa Frontier Remastered launches on the App Store, Google Play Store, Nintendo Switch, PC and PlayStation 4 on April 15.
