Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers will play differently than previous entries in the series, but this doesn’t mean that some of the central gameplay mechanics seen in older games will not make a comeback.

In a video that has been shared recently by Atlus, it has been confirmed that Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers will feature Persona Fusion. Like in Persona 5, the main character will be able to use multiple Personas, and they can be switched on the fly during gameplay.

Personas can be obtained by collecting the masks dropped by enemies or by fusing two or more of them in the Velvet Room. Upon successful fusion, players will earn points that can be used to enhance Personas by raising their level. With Skill Cards, players will also be able to teach Personas specific skills, giving plenty of customization options.

Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers will mark the debut of the series on Nintendo Switch. The original Persona 5 hasn’t been released on the console, and neither will Persona 5 Royal, a new, updated version of the original game featuring additional content. A late port could be possible, but nothing has been announced so far.

Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers launches next year worldwide on Nintendo Switch as well as on PlayStation 4.
