Nintendo has been taking care of its Switch console since its release, launching new firmware updates often to fix issues and add new features to the console. The Nintendo Switch Lite is now available worldwide, but the console suffers from some minor issues that have, thankfully, been addressed today with a new firmware update.
The new Nintendo Switch System Update 9.0.1 fixed a couple of Nintendo Switch Lite issues, such as wrong instructions during the console’s initial setup and more.
-Resolved an issue that may have triggered errors during game play.
-Resolved an issue that may display an instruction to remove the Joy-Con during the initial setup of Nintendo Switch Lite.
The update notes also talk of other improvements to system stability, but no concrete details have been provided.
The Nintendo Switch Lite is a handheld focused version of the popular Nintendo console. The recently released new console has integrated controls, it is smaller, it has no kickstand and doesn’t support the dock in any way.
Through teardowns, it’s been confirmed that the console lacks the right hardware to output video to an external device, so there is no way the dock will work, even through hacking. If you want to enjoy the console’s original hybrid experience, you will have to purchase the regular model.
The Nintendo Switch Lite has been released last month, and it is now available worldwide.
