The recently revealed Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers free replacement policy is apparently not going to apply worldwide, at least for now.
As reported by Nintendo Everything, it seems like customers living in France and in the UK will have to pay to get replacement Joy-Con controllers if they are out of warranty.
As the document detailing the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con free replacement policy is still rather fresh, there’s the chance that not all support departments worldwide have yet adopted it.
A class-action lawsuit has also been filed against Nintendo for the Joy-Con drifting issues that have been present since the console’s launch. The Japanese company recently responded to it.
At Nintendo, we take great pride in creating quality products and we are continuously making improvements to them. We are aware of recent reports that some Joy-Con controllers are not responding correctly. We want our consumers to have fun with Nintendo Switch, and if anything falls short of this goal we always encourage them to visit http://support.nintendo.com so we can help.
