Nintendo Addresses Joy-Con Drifting Issues With New Statement

The Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers are extremely innovative, but suffer from several issues such as drifting, which makes it impossible to play game properly, forcing players to purchase a new one as spare parts are currently not available.

With drifting becoming an increasing issue among consumers, Nintendo has finally acknowledged the issue with a new statement which, sadly, doesn’t do much to alleviate the situation.

At Nintendo, we take great pride in creating quality products and we are continuously making improvements to them. We are aware of recent reports that some Joy-Con controllers are not responding correctly. We want our consumers to have fun with Nintendo Switch, and if anything falls short of this goal we always encourage them to visit http://support.nintendo.com so we can help.

It’s not yet clear which steps Nintendo aims to take to improve the situation, but acknowledging that there is an issue is a step in the right direction. Better late than never.
