Mortal Kombat 11 Remaining Kombat Pack Characters Leaked

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Like all modern fighting games, Mortal Kombat 11 is getting several additional characters. The first two, Shang Tsung and Nightwolf, who are actually returning characters from previous entries, have already been released, but four more will be released as part of the Kombat Pack.

The remaining DLC characters will be revealed later today with a brand new trailer, but their names have been leaked ahead of the official reveal.

While the trailer has yet to be released online, the thumbnail of the video already appeared, revealing that Terminator, Joker, and Spawn will be added to the game.

Terminator and Joker already appeared in a list of leaked characters earlier this year, so their inclusion isn’t a real surprise, especially for the Joker, as NetherRealm Studios is the same developed of Injustice, the fighting games featuring heroes and villains from the DC Comics universe. The character is likely to resemble its Injustice 2 iteration, with some tweaks to make him work with the Mortal Kombat 11 mechanics.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest entry in the series that’s been running since the 90s, when the original Mortal Kombat has been released in arcades to the joy of fighting game players and horror of worried parents all over the world. The series has always been known for its over-the-top gore and violence, but in recent years, developer NetherRealm Studios showed how it’s possible to make a compelling story mode for fighting games, starting from the series’ reboot released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 years ago.

Mortal Kombat 11 is now available in all regions on Nintendo Switch, as well as on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
