The first Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character is one that long time fans of the series should recognize, the Master Sorcerer Shang Tsung. The character originally appeared in the very first entry in the series and served as the game’s final boss.

On a related note, another character has been recently confirmed for the game. Noob Saibot will be in the game’s starting roster. The mysterious ninja appeared in the second entry in the series as a secret character and became fully playable in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. You can check the character in action in all of his brutal glory below.

Mortal Kombat 11 will feature some brand new characters as well as many classic returning ones like Baraka, Raiden, Scorpion, Sonya Blade and Sub-Zero. The gameplay mechanics have also been revamped, with new special moves and techniques that will make the game feel different from its predecessor.

Mortal Kombat XI launches on May 10th on Nintendo Switch in Europe and on April 23rd worldwide on all formats.
