More Super Mario Maker 2 Updates Are In The Works

Last month, Super Mario Maker 2 received a major update that introduced a lot of new content to the game, expanding course creation possibilities quite a bit. While Nintendo hasn’t made it clear if more updates loaded with new content will be coming, it seems like they indeed will be released at some point.

As spotted by Nintendo Everything, a Super Mario Maker 2 Japanese post on Nintendo’s website confirms that future updates are planned, so the developer is not yet done with its popular game.

As already mentioned, Super Mario Maker 2 received its first major update last month. The update introduced some very nice new features, such as new objects that can be used in course creation in all play styles as well as the ability to play as Link from The Legend of Zelda.

Unlike the original Super Mario Maker, which featured a variety of characters with no different abilities, Link does come with a unique set of skills in Super Mario Maker 2, allowing players to create stages that are somewhat reminiscent of the Zelda 2 experience.

Super Mario Maker 2 is now available on Nintendo Switch worldwide.
