In this round of updates we’ve optimized the game’s lanes to give them a complete overhaul. As a large amount of materials have been changed, we advise that you complete resource downloads before entering battle.

[Survival: Nexus]

“Survival: Nexus” Opening Announcement:

Warriors of the Land of Dawn! Following this update, the Battle Royale survival mode “Survival: Nexus” will be available for a limited time, starting on 03/16/2021! We’ll see you on the battlefield!

In this mode, 100 players playing as “Beatrix” form teams of two and enter into battle together. Slay monsters to gain up to 7 different weapons, fight to be the last duo left standing, and attain the final victory!

This mode can be accessed from the Arcade.

I. New Heroes & Revamped Heroes

[Beatrix, the Dawnbreak Soldier]

[Passive: Mecha Genius]

Her extraordinary talent in the field of mechanics allowed Beatrix to produce weapons of truly awe-inspiring firepower. The Renner can strike an enemy dead from miles away, the Bennett excels at bombarding a set area, the Wesker comes into its own when dealing damage up close and personal, and the Nibiru is. unsurpassed in terms of firing speed. Beatrix is able to wield one of the four while in battle, as well as keeping a second on her for when the situation requires it.

Renner (Basic Attack):

Charge, aim and fire Renner to shoot a bullet that deals high damage.

Bennett (Basic Attack):

Shoots a bullet at a designated location to slow down and damage enemies within range.

Wesker (Basic Attack):

Shoots bullets forwards, which can hit the same target multiple times.

Nibiru (Basic Attack):

Let loose a volley of 4 shots at the target. [Skill 1 – Coordination]

Beatrix swaps her primary weapon with the secondary she has slung over her back, gaining an all-new way to attack.

[Skill 2 – Tactical Reposition]

Beatrix dashes toward the designated direction, fully reloading her weapon.

[Ultimate – Renner’s Apathy]

Beatrix wields Renner calmly upon the battlefield, firing shots in the targeted direction that deal high Physical Damage to the first enemy hero hit.

[Ultimate – Bennett’s Rage]

Beatrix focuses her rage, and has Bennett rain down a bombardment in a set area 5 times. Each bombardment slows the target and deals Physical Damage to enemies hit (this damage decaying when hitting the same target multiple times).

[Ultimate – Wesker’s Elation]

Beatrix raises Wesker and unleashes heavy fire ahead, dealing Physical Damage to enemies hit.

[Ultimate – Nibiru’s Passion]

Beatrix squeezes the trigger to greet oncoming enemies with a 6-shot volley from Nibiru, inflicting Physical Damage on each hit. [Special Skill – Need Backup] Having escaped battle. Beatrix calls for her butler Morgan to provide her with a backup weapons crate. Beatrix must then choose two from the crate to serve as her primary and secondary weapons. Her weapon selection is interrupted if she commits any action or is controlled during this period.

The new hero will be making her debut upon all servers as of March 19th. Come and check it out!

[Argus, the Dark Angel]

Argus is a standard close-range, physical DPS Fighter. With this revamp, we hope to make it possible for Argus to keep on chasing down the enemy and bringing the pain!

We feel that Argus’ skills are pretty good as they are, and so haven’t changed them a whole lot making just a few minor changes instead. His art assets have been completely reworked, however.

Changes to Skills:

[Skill 1 – Demonic Grip]

a- Argus can now use his demonic hand to pull himself and enemies together.

b- Argus can now unleash the second phase of this skill right after casting it.

[Skill 2 – Meteoric sword]

a- Enemies struck by Argus Meteoric Sword are cursed for a time, during which they take damage while moving.

Ultimate – [Eternal Evil]

a- This Ultimate has kept its trademark 5-second immunity to death.

[Passive – Warmonger]

a- when fully charged, this Passive can grant Argus’ next basic attack an extra 2 strikes (instead of just 1). Also added a mechanism to convert his Attack Speed, making high-speed attacks feel more satisfying.

II. Hero Adjustments Battlefield Adjustments

  1. We are going to adjust the heroes and equipment which were overly picked during M2, based on their performance in Ranked matches.
  2. After corresponding adjustments, we will further optimize heroes if they still turn out relatively unpopular or cannot provide a good gaming experience.
  3. Mast Marksmen and Mages who mainly grow in the late game are not suitable for top-level matches and professional league. Therefore, we have tried to adjust the battlefield environment and some heroes to address this problem.

[Hero Adjustments]

The following heroes underwent significant changes for this version: Bane, Brody, Benedetta, Yi Sun-shin, Mathilda, Paquito, Silvanna, Angela, Aurora, Johnson, Terizla and Wanwan.

Use (↑)(↓)(~) to indicate strengthening, nerfing, and adjustments.

[Bane] (↑)

Following extensive testing, we’ve finally decided Bane’s ready for everyone to try out. In this round of adjustments, we retained and enhanced his high damage dealing characteristics, and slightly increased both his survivability and mobility. More importantly, we’ve made different Bane builds possible so that he can adjust to the ever-changing battlefield. You can continue to choose physical-focused equipment, and cast Skill 1 and enhanced Basic Attacks to poke from a safe distance, but now it’s also possible to use new magic builds and get up close and personal, wiping out squishy enemies. You can even focus instead on building Bane’s survivability, and shuttle across the battlefield as you please!

As before, Bane can get seriously strong in the late game but must first push through the early game, in which he’s relatively weak. Enemies can capitalize on this, and try to prevent him gaining equipment early on. Overall, we’re hoping that Bane gets a warm reception from you all!

[Passive] (~):

Damage of enhanced Basic Attacks: 160-190% → 150-200%

Optimized the display of buff stacks on the Passive icon.

100 stacks display the same effect as that of 20 stacks before this patch.

New Effect: The cooldown reduces by 0.05% for each point of Physical Attack (multiplication applied after cooldown reduction calculations).

Physical Attack Bonus: 140% → 160%

[Skill 2] (↑):

Cooldown: 10 → 7.5s-4.5s.

Cooldown Calculation: Cast Start → Cast End

New Effect: The cooldown reduces by 0.08% for each point of Magic Power (multiplication applied after cooldown reduction calculations).

Movement Speed Increase: 25% → base of 50% but decays quickly

Minimum Damage: 100-300 + 120% Physical Attack → 180-380 + 180% Magic Power

HP Regen: 260-460 + 200% Magic Power = 160-285 + 10% of lost HP + 200% Magic Power

[Ultimate] (↑):

Damage Type: Physical Damage → Magic Damage

Damage: 500-900 + 160% Physical Attack → 600-1000 + 200% Magic Power

Optimized all skill descriptions, and added recommended builds for playing Bane as magic DPS/Tank.

[Brody] (~)

Adjusted Brody to restrain his power when he was equipped with defensive equipment. To further aid opponents in dealing with him, he can no longer Basic Attack within his Skill 2’s duration.

[Attributes] (↓):

[Skill 2] (↓) :

Cannot initiate Basic Attacks while skill is in progress.

Crit Damage of 2nd enhanced Basic Attack: 55-70% → 60-75%

[Ultimate] (↓):

Cooldown: 80-60s → 72-60s

Removed the slow effect.

[Mathilda] (↑)

With this round of adjustments, Mathilda’s poke capabilities have been reduced, which we hope gives her opponents more room to react. To compensate for this, we’ve also made it possible for her to have a higher damage cap when played properly, giving players an opportunity to see if they can pull it off.

[Passive] (↑):

Base Damage of enhanced Basic Attacks: 135 → 160

[Skill 1] (~):

Base Damage: 400-600 → 460-660

Wisps can now attack minions as well as enemy heroes. Decay Ratio: 30-45% → 35-45%

[Paquito] (~)

After surveys and data analysis, we’ve decided to nerf Paquito’s ability to exert solo pressure in the early game as necessary. Along with this we’ve also slightly increased his all-round capabilities in late-game teamfights, making him slightly easier to use.

[Skill 1] (↓):

Base Shield: 200-500 → 150-500

Enhanced shields will also adhere to this ratio.

[Skill 2] (↑):

[Ultimate] (~):

Airborne effect duration of the enhanced skill: 1s → 0.7s

Slightly widened skill range.

[Silvanna] (↓)

We have tried to restrict her power for initiating attacks when she lacked good equipment. Besides, to balance out the former adjustment, we have optimized the logic of her Passive.

[Attributes] (↓):

Ratio of Attack Speed inherited: 100% → 80%

[Passive] (~):

Basic Attack Damage: 45 + 75% Physical Attack + 45% Magic Power → 25+ 45% Physical Attack + 60% Magic Power

New Effect: Gains stacks of Passive with Basic Attacks, where the full-stacked Passive effect can also be triggered.

[Skill 2] (↑):

Shield: 450-675 + 105% Magic Power → 250-400 + 150% Magic Power

[Ultimate] (↓):

Cooldown: 38s → 46-38s

[Angela] (~)

Angela’s Skill 1 granted too many effects, and we’d like to make the usage of each of her skills clearer. As such, we’ve buffed this skill’s damage and healing, but nerfed its stow effect. Her Ultimate has also been buffed slightly.

[Skill 1] (~):

Magic Power Bonus for Damage: 50% → 80%

Base HP Regen: 100-175 → 150-225

Magic Bonus for Shield: 200% → 200-280%

[Aurora] (~)

We have largely increased the extra damage Aurora could gain from equipment, with the aim of letting some Mages take the lead in battle during the late game. We expect to see Aurora become the main Magic Damage dealer of her team in the late game. We’ve also improved the feel of Aurora’s abilities, making it easier for her to unleash 2-3-1 skill combos at high speed,

Improved the feel of Skill 1 and skill combos. [Passive] (↓): Damage bonus to frozen targets: 30% → 20%

[Skill 1] (↑):

Magic Power Bonus: 130% → 200%

[Ultimate] (↑):

Base Damage: 900-1300 → 800-1200

Magic Power Bonus: 180% → 240%

[Johnson] (~)

We’ve made some changes to raise Johnson’s skill ceiling. We’re very glad that so many have been joyriding with him throughout the Land of Dawn! However, we’ve come to notice that despite auditory warnings, it’s still difficult for enemies to react in time to Johnson, and they often end up getting crashed into. As such, we’ve enhanced the warning mechanic of Johnson’s Ultimate for the first short distance, he drives clear alerts will be given to opponents. We hope this doesn’t take any of the fun away from players who use Johnson, and gives opponents fair time to react.

[Ultimate] (~):

His sight is exposed for 3 seconds after starting driving.

[Terizla] (↑)

We adjusted his Skill 2 to sustain his ability to clear minion waves in the mid to late game. Besides, his Ultimate and Passive have been adjusted to make him more a Fighter than a Tank.

[Skill 2] (↑):

Damage to Minions: 60% → 60%-100%

Cooldown: 48-36s → 40-30s

Duration of Weakness in the target staying revealed: 10s → 6s (same as the duration when all weaknesses are hit)

[Skill 1] (↓):

Physical Damage Bonus for Swallow Dagger’s Damage: 85% → 65%

[Ultimate] (↑):

Players can now see more clearly from the buff icon how long is left until the Ultimate can be cast.

Fixed an issue that prevented Crits. Physical Attack Bonus for damage can now count toward Crits.

[Barats] (↑)

Barats’ survivability was greatly boosted in previous adjustments, but his overall abilities didn’t meet expectations. In light of this we’ve slightly increased his output capabilities to return them to a reasonable range.

[Passive] (↑):

Max HP Bonus for enhanced Basic Attacks: 2%→ 3.5%

[Skill 1] (↑): Max HP Bonus for 1st Damage: 6% → 7%

Vale

We’ve observed that there’s something of a disparity between the strengths of choices offered by Vale’s Skill 1 and 2, and so have made some adjustments. We hope that now the choices won’t be so one-sided any more.

[Skill 1 – Scatter] (↑):

Cooldown: 4s → 3s

Skill 2 (↓):

Magic Power Bonus: 120% → 80%

[Skill 2 – Fix] (↑):

Magic Power Bonus for Damage per hit of each whirlwind left behind: 20% → 30%

[Dyrroth] (↑)

The Son of Darkness was already starting to have trouble fitting in with the current version. So we have augmented his early-stage regen capability a little.

IV. Battlefield Adjustments

1- Slightly shortened heroes’ respawn time for the early game and lengthened it for the late game.

2- Lane Optimization

a- In this round of updates we’ve revamped and optimized the game’s lanes. The 5 lane icons have had their art style reworked, and the ground designs of Bases in “The Celestial Palace” and “Imperial Sanctuary” have been changed. In addition to this, we’ve added new effects to help indicate the different lanes to players, and a recommended “roaming” lane to the battlefield.

b- Besides, in this patch we have made adjustments to the arrangement of the barriers and bushes between Serpents and Sanctuary Lord, as well as the barriers near Fiend. Based on these changes, we’ve tried to ensure that the updated Lithowanderer could advance along its path smoothly.

c- Before all game resources are downloaded, the barriers on the map may not be as effective as they are displayed. Please start matches after downloading all resources, or set Graphics to “Smooth” so that the default map will be used automatically.

3- Optimized some of the logic used for different forms upon the battlefield: you can now view the icon and guide for a form even if you haven’t learned its corresponding skill. Applies to the following heroes:

Kagura, Roger Selena, Beatrix. Change, Aurora, X.Borg, Ling, Yi Sun-shin

4- Fixed an issue where Lord overlapped the Base occasionally when attacking it.

5- To avoid problems that arose in extreme circumstances, Retribution is no longer applicable to Skill Smart Targeting.

6- Fixed an issue with the Battle Spell “Arrival” in which opening up the minimap would mess up your view.

7- Optimized the special effect of Harley’s Ultimate, to make it easier for players to recognize its duration,

8- Fixed the sound volume issue of Helcurt’s Skill 2 “Deadly Stinger”

9- Fixed the issue where Johnson would be brought back to Fountain instantly in some cases when killed in the car form and equipped with “Immortality”

10- Fixed an issue with Yu Zhong’s Skill 2 where, in rare circumstances, he would be unable to erupt his Sha Residue.

11- Fixed an issue with Natalia’s Passive where it would still do damage even if her movement was obstructed while Blinking.

12- The Movement Speed boost Diggie gains from his Ultimate was missing from the skill description, and has now been added:

13- We’ve adjusted the way the camera view rises when Luo Yi casts her Ultimate to make it smoother, and solved some other view issues arising from Luo Yi’s Ultimate.

14- Optimized the logic of Faramis’ Ultimate. If allies slay an enemy while being revived by Faramis, he gets an assist.

15- Optimized the animations in the tutorial videos of Vale’s skills.

16- Fixed an issue that allowed Gusion to recover HP by attacking Turrets.

17- Some players have reported a display issue with Angela’s skill. When she died, icons of teammates shown besides her 3rd skill button would disappear for a while until they tapped the Ult button again. This issue will be fixed in the next

[Creeps]

In this patch, we have adjusted the rewards for killing the Lithowanderer, the Walkie Grass has returned, and we’ve also added the Stone Roamer who can help patrol the area.

1- Lithowanderer

A Stone Roamer will be left behind when you slay a Lithowanderer, and Walkie Grass will follow the killer.

2- Walkie Grass

Regenerates allied heroes Mana by 1% every second. A hero who obtained it speeds up by 1.5% in the river for 45s.

3- Stone Roamer

It patrols the river around the mid lane, and exposes the locations of enemies that approach, but can be attacked by enemy heroes.
