Square Enix finally confirmed, after so many years of teasing, that a sequel to their now classic Nintendo DS RPG called NEO: The World Ends With You is in development. The game will be released sometime during Summer 2021 on Nintendo Switch as well as on PlayStation 4.

Very little is currently known about the game so far, but the reveal trailer does seem to confirm that the original’s unique style will make a comeback in the new game, and better than ever. The new cast also seems to be in line with Neku and his friends’ style, so it definitely looks like NEO: The World Ends With You will not stray too far from its predecessor in terms of visual design.

NEO: The World Ends With You launches during Summer 2021 on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
