With a new five-star playable character, as always, we are also getting a new Story Quest that will introduce the players to Kamisato Ayato and explain how he fits into the game’s story.
But, the problem is Kamisato Ayato’s story quest “Cypressus Custos Chapter” is not available from the get-go. Players have to unlock it, and only then players can play and complete the quest.

You can unlock Kamisato Ayato’s story quest “Cypressus Custos Chapter” in Genshin Impact if you meet the following requirements –
- Adventure Rank 40 or above
- Complete Archon Quest Chapter II: Act III – Omnipresence Over Mortals
- Complete Raiden Shogun’s story quest “Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter Act I: Reflections of Mortality
- Complete world quest “Chisato’s Letter”

Once you meet the above requirements, you can unlock Kamisato Ayato’s story quest.
Chisato’s Letter is a side quest you can complete during Ritou’s Escape Plan mission.
Unlocking Kamisato Ayato’s story quest will bring you one step close to unlocking the Hues of the Violet Garden event.
