How to Powerstance in Elden Ring on Steam Deck

There’s a lot of interesting things you can do in Elden Ring and one of them is the Power Stance. The Power Stance is a mechanic in the game that has similar wording with other adventure titles on console but some of its details make it different altogether.

While the mechanics in games such as Dark Souls 2 and 3 for Power Stances were highly mechanical, and not all players may have figured it out till now, Elden Ring has a different approach. In Elden Ring, what you need to do is have your character hold two weapons of the same type.

Once they have that, they will enter a Power Stance. Then they can use this stance’s attack by clicking the guard button and swinging both weapons at the same time. You can use a guard stance by clicking the LB buttons on your Xbox controller or using the L1 buttons on your PlayStation controller.

The Power Stance is a pretty cool and impressive move to pull off every now and then. And this way, your character gets more out of having two weapons equipped. Powerstance attacks deal more damage than two-handing a weapon. However, you should upgrade your other weapons and not depend solely on Powerstance.
