How to Make Potions in Terraria

Potions are important consumable items in Terraria. Players can use different types of potions to refill their HP and Mana. Meanwhile, some potions are used to gain buffs or debuffs. In this article, we will talk about how you can make potions in Terraria.

Before we move on to the main guide, keep in mind that you can get potions from chests, pots, enemy drops, etc. You can also buy potions from NPCs. Depending on the potion you have to pay a charge. Though the best way to get different types of potions is to make your own using placed bottle or alchemy table.

Materials Required for Making Potions in Terraria

Here are the materials that you need before you start making your own potion.

  • Bottle
    • Go to the desert biome and get some sand blocks. Two sand blocks are required to make a single piece of glass.
    • Meanwhile, players can use one glass to make two bottles using the furnace.
  • Furnace
    • Used for transforming glass into an empty bottle.
  • Alchemy Station
    • If you don’t have an alchemy station, place an empty bottle on top of a workbench. By doing this you make the workbench a place where you can make potions.
  • Herbs and Plants for making potions
  • Bottles filled with Water
    • To make potions in Terraria, you need bottles filled with water.
      • Go to any water source, stand in the water.
      • Open crafting menu.
      • Fill up the empty water bottles.

Making Potions in Terraria

Depending on the potion you want to make, gather the required flora. Once that is done. Go back to the workbench with the empty bottle or to an alchemy station.
