How to Get Shiny Turtwig in Pokemon Legends Arceus

Even though it’s based in old Sinnoh, Hisui, Pokémon Legends: Arceus does little to make trainers choose Turtwig, Piplup or Chimchar as their Starter Pokémon.

Rather than choosing the aforementioned Pokémons, most players go with the likes of Cyndaquil, Oshawott, and Rowlet. Players who have been playing the game for years will realise that these three Pokémons were not not native to Sinnoh in Diamond and Pearl.

However, for players who love the Sinnoh Starters such as Chimchar, Piplup and Turtwig, they can be found roaming about the Hisui region. So in this article we’ll be guiding you on how to get Shiny Turtwig in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

So, players who want to add a Grass-type Pokémon to their team can get Turtwig by checking the game’s map and see where the Ursa Ring is located. While Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl made it easier to get Starter Pokemon without trading, trainers had to wait until they beat the game before they could catch one.

However in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Turtwig can be caught before the postgame at an early level. So next to Ursa’s Ring, there’s a river that seperates another body of land. And on that body land, there’s a lake near the bottom-right of the map. It is there you can capture Turtwig.

Once you’re there, the simplest way to get Turtwig is by using the Braviary or Basculegion since it’ll make crossing the river very easy. For players who wish to get their hands on Turtwig earlier, their only option is to circle around Lake Valor, which they can find at the upper-right of the Crimson Mirelands.

So after reaching the lake, trainers need to carefully and quietly approach the Turtwig so it doesn’t spot them and flee. Unlike some Pokémon, Turtwigs appears in every weather but its appearance rate percentage will change when it gets cloudy or during night-time.
