At the time of writing this article, Gameloft has addressed the Cloud Account issues via the Disney Dreamlight Valley official Twitter handle and official support channels. They are working on a fix.
Until then, players who by mistake backed out of the Code Screen or who aren’t getting Verification Mail to finalize the Cloud Account creation process can wait and enjoy the game.

If you are not getting the verification mail, check your email’s Spam and other folders. Refresh them, and if you are still not getting the verification mail, you might be one of the affected users. So the only fix is to wait till Gameloft launches a patch or a workaround to fix the issue.
As per Gameloft, the Cloud Account creation is facing an issue because of the high number of players trying to create the account simultaneously. It is not the first time that something like this is happening at the launch of a live-service game, and we have already seen server and account-related issues with past live-service launches.
