In this article, we’ll be guiding you on how to evolve Swirlix in Pokémon Sword and Shield with very simple steps.

Finding Swirlix In Sword

First of all, you’d have to find Swirlix, and since it’s an exclusive Pokémon, you’ll need to trade if you’re playing Shield. You can find it as an overworld spawn in Route 5 or close to the Giant’s Mirror region of the Wild Area during foggy weather. It has a 40% appearance rate as well.

How To Evolve Swirlix Into Slurpuff

In order to evolve Swirlix, you’ll need two important things: a good friend to trade with, and the Whipped Dream held item. To get the Whipped Dream, you’ll have to speak to the girl beside the PokeMart counter in the central Hammerlocke Pokecenter to trade 1 Battle Point for it.

Likewise, you can also get a Whipped Dream as a reward for winning at the Battle Cafe. However, it’s not exactly a guaranteed method since there’s a wide range of rewards. Be sure to have Swirlix hold the item when you trade it, and also make sure your friend hands it back.

That’s all you need to do in order to evolve Swirlix into Slurpiff in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Slurpuff doesn’t exactly excel in battle, but it’s a relatively robust Pokémon with a handful of tricks up its sleeve.
