How to Complete the Black Frost Strikes Again Sidequest in Shin Megami Tensei V

Shin Megami Tensei V is a game filled to the brim with content. Alongside many main story quests, players also get the chance right from the start of the game to complete different sidequests to receive a variety of nice rewards ranging from additional EXP points, Demon Essences, and Talismans.

Here’s how to complete one of these optional sidequests, the Black Frost Strikes Again sidequest.

How to Complete the Black Frost Strikes Again Sidequest in Shin Megami Tensei V

The Black Frost Strikes Again sidequest can be started by speaking with the Black Frost demon located to the northwest of the Ginza Leyline Fount in the Chiyoda ward. You can find the demon’s exact location on the map below.

Black Frost has a bone to pick with Dyonisus and asks you to defeat him. Accept the sidequest from the demon, and then head over to where Dyonisus is. The greek god can be found right in front of the Black Frost’s location, near the Sukiyabashi Leyline Fount.

Once you reach Dyonisus, interact with him. At this point, you can either fight him to fulfill Black Frost’s request or talk with Dyonisus to start the A Sobering Standoff sidequest.

If you choose to fight Dyonisus, make sure to have demons that can use Ice skills, as the demon is weak against them. Additionally, do not bring anyone with a Fire weakness to prevent Dyonisus from getting extra turns. The demon is not that strong, so you should have no trouble taking him down if you have come prepared.

After Dyonisus has been defeated, go back to Black Frost to complete the sidequest. You will get 16,000 EXP points and a Health Balm as reward. Black Frost will also join your party.
