How to Add More Ability Slots in Splatoon 3
In Splatoon 3, you can add more Ability Slots by increasing the Star Rarity of the gear using duplicates you can obtain from the Shop section. Alternatively, you can also use Super Sea Snails to upgrade a gear’s Star Rarity with the help of the NPC, Murch.
Each gear in Splatoon 3 can have one or more Star Rarity. And since secondary Ability Slots depends on the rarity of the gear, you can upgrade the Star Rarity of low rarity gear to obtain more Ability Slots. Though, keep in mind! The max number of Ability Slots a gear can have is three.Â
So even if you upgrade any gear to four-star rarity, you will not get extra Ability Slots. All you get in return is more EXP and other benefits from that gear.Â
