Hitman 3 is only available on Nintendo Switch as the Cloud Version, but this doesn’t mean that this version of the game cannot be updated with new features that are specific to the Nintendo console.
A new update that has gone live in the past few hours introduces a brand new Performance Mode which lets the game run at 60 frames per second while dropping the resolution to 720p.
Performance Mode
We’ve added a toggle to enable Performance Mode at 720p/60fps over the default option of 1080p/30fps.
Another brand new feature brought by the new Hitman 3 update is Steady Aim, a new mechanic that improves aiming with a Sniper Rifle with the Marksman perk.
Precision Fire
We’ve added the Steady Aim feature to the L button on Nintendo Switch. This allows you to improve your aim and slow time when aiming with a Sniper Rifle with the Marksman perk, especially useful for the Sniper Assassin game mode and certain Mission Stories. The in-game UI and controller maps will display this accurately.
The latest Hitman 3 update also introduces a 10-minute trial that lets players try out the game’s Performance Mode for free. More information on the new update can be found on the game’s official website.
